We’re thrilled to welcome Roy Anderson to the Tradeshift team as our new chief procurement officer (CPO) and digital transformation officer. Anderson’s new position will be a multifaceted role. One key emphasis will be to optimize the use of the Tradeshift network and applications inside the Tradeshift environment. But another element of his position will be to act as an evangelist for the Tradeshift network, as well as digital transformation within organizations and in the wider supply chain environment.
Anderson has held a number of key procurement leadership roles in financial and manufacturing organizations. Most recently, Anderson was executive vice president at MetaProcure/GoProcure where he was responsible for procurement services operations providing a full suite of enabling technologies addressing global transactional processing, strategic sourcing, spend analytics, and risk analysis. Before that, he was CPO at State Street bank and vice president of global procurement at MetLife.
Among his many accomplishments, Anderson initiated $1 billion in sourcing and $50 million in run-rate savings at State Street bank. At MetLife, Anderson built a comprehensive global strategic sourcing system supporting 60,000 associates and 70 million customers—growing dollars managed from $100 million to $2.1 billion.
Anderson holds a bachelor of science and a master of business administration degrees from Babson College.

The CPO’s role is to understand where advantages exist, determine how to best integrate those into an organization, and communicate how to get that accomplished among a company’s executive team.”
