Welcome Melissa Gordon, Tradeshift SVP and GM of Enterprise Platform

November 7, 2016 Tradeshift Editorial Team

Melissa Gordon recently joined Tradeshift as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Platform, a new role and function that will further establish our platform and apps squarely at the center of some of the world’s largest enterprise supply chains.

Melissa joined Tradeshift to build a dedicated team focused on matching the platform aspects of Tradeshift to the needs of our Fortune 500 customers.

Previously, Melissa led all customer-facing functions at MemSQL, a provider of real-time databases for transactions and analytics, solving large customer challenges. Prior to MemSQL, Melissa served as a vice president in Oracle’s enterprise accounts group. She holds a degree in economics from Stanford University where she was All-American in the pole vault.

For the last five years, we’ve been evolving into an all-encompassing business commerce platform relied on by some of the largest enterprises globally. One thing we’ve confirmed is that there’s no single answer for a company aiming to consolidate and digitize their supply chain. Individual applications cover different aspects, such as procurement, supplier risk, sustainability, finance, etc. With Tradeshift, we have created the world’s first ever one-of-a-kind platform for all your suppliers, all in one place. At the center is a strong integrated core that enables supplier connectivity and collaboration between and inside of companies, all in real time. On top of this core, different applications support different business needs across our customer base. Best of all, the platform can leverage what is unique about your business to provide a significant and sustainable competitive advantage.

We believe that for something as critical as a company’s supply chain, industry standard best practices are just not good enough. Don’t simply match your industry average, use Tradeshift to take what is unique about your supply chain and turn it into a sustainable competitive advantage. Tradeshift’s enterprise platform offering does exactly that.

With Melissa’s arrival, the platform aspects of Tradeshift will increasingly come to the fore. She brings deep expertise in helping the world’s largest and most dynamic companies innovate and build competitive advantage through packaged and custom software. Working with customers to help their businesses thrive is exactly what will grow the Tradeshift platform and in turn add even more value for our customers.

Melissa is uniquely qualified to take the battle between next-generation SaaS platforms and traditional on-premise and point solutions to the next level, and we are thrilled to have her on the Tradeshift pirate ship!
