What’s the old normal, what’s the current normal, what’s gonna be the new normal? Bleh. There’s only one normal that matters: hope. In the midst of a crisis, sometimes the most rebellious thing you can do is hope.
Hope looks forward when you can’t get your eyes off the ground. Hope is adaptability, dissatisfaction, rebellion. It is—for those of us who have never been satisfied with normal—the place we take shelter when the everyday becomes too painful.
My guest, Anthony Scaramucci, talked alot about hope—for himself, his family and for the future. Our conversation was wide ranging, from his tumultuous time as our current president’s white house Communications Director, to the current state of his fund and the financial industry, to his personal struggles in his marriage. He’s a fascinating figure who never shies from telling things the way they are. Enjoy!
